Today, we are here with an exciting summer student program in Germany that you should not miss out on! Application call for the DESY Summer Student Program 2025. A 2 months fully funded student program in Germany is offered to international students enrolled in Undergraduate or Masters degrees in physics or related fields. Each year, the program selects several students from all around the world to experience research at one of the largest international laboratories. The Desy student program is designed to provide first-hand experience to students in research under the supervision of established scientists and experts in their fields.
The program will take place in the DESY laboratory in Hamburg or Zeuthem from 22 July – 11 September 2025. During the 8 weeks of the program, participants will experience a series of lectures on key topics of research visits to the computer centers and accelerators. The Summer students will work 39 hours per week during the program. This is a fully funded student program in Germany the program covers Accommodation, financial support, and living expenses for the duration of the program.
The program will select 100 students from all around the world this is your chance to perform research in Physics or related fields such as computing engineering in one of the largest laboratories. Program Location & Duration
- The duration of the DESY Summer program is 8 weeks and will be held in the DESY laboratory in Hamburg or Zeuthen close to (Berlin) from 22nd July to 11 September 2025
Program Coverage
The program provides the following financial support to the selected participants
- Accommodation in the DESY hostel
- Financial Support to cover the living expenses in Germany
- Partial reimbursement on travel
- An official invitation letter from DESY to attend the program

Who can Apply?
- Nationality: The program is inviting applications from all nationals
- Degree Level: Students enrolled in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or the First year of Master’s Degree can apply
- Areas of Studies: Students pursuing their degree in Physics, natural sciences, computing, or related disciplines.
Ineligibility
- Students who have completed their degree programs are not eligible to apply.
- Have previously attended the DESY summer student program
