An entry-level 3-month paid internship will be held in Washington, District of Colombia, USA.

The Heinrich Boll Foundation is inviting applications from applicants currently pursuing undergraduate/Master’s degrees in related fields or recent bachelor’s graduates. The selected interns will work closely with the climate & Environmental policy program director and head of communications. Currently, the foundation is accepting applications for the Fall/Spring session the internship for the Spring session will start from February 10, 2025, and the Fall session will start from September 8, 2025.

Internship Dates

Who can Apply?

  • Applicants with experience in the offered program areas or communication work
  • Have good English communication skills
  • A full-time commitment of 40 hours per week till the duration of the program
  • Students enrolled in bachelor’s or master’s degrees or those who have recently graduated.
  • 2 Years of University level experience

*Mid-career professionals and applicants who have completed their masters & PhD degrees are not eligible to apply.

What Program Offers?

The Heinrich Boll Foundation offers the following benefits to its interns:

  • A monthly stipend of 700$ dollars for the full-time interns
  • 5 paid vacations
  • Covers the cost associated with the J1 visa for those applicants residing outside the USA

Intern Role

  • Administrative Responsibilities
  • Provide logistic support for the preparation and implementation of events
  • Managing on-desk duties that include answering calls, responding to the queries
  • Managing the program database.

Communication:

  • Develop social media content and strategies
  • Frequently update the blogs on the website

Research

  • Preparation for upcoming events, speaker series, and tours
  • Background research on topical and current events

Capstone Project

Other than the routine tasks the interns need to complete a Capstone project on their chosen topic.
