The Asia Europe Foundation is pleased to announce the call for applications for its 13th ASEF Public Diplomacy Training for the 2025 session. The programme was established in 2013 to facilitate skill training for civil society members and diplomats from Asia and Europe. The program combines online learning with face-to-face interaction under the guidance of renowned experts and trainers. Since the program’s inception, it has organized 12 online courses and 10 in-person trainings, benefitting more than 400 diplomats and civil servants across Asia and Europe.
A fully funded program hosted by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs aims to enhance the public diplomacy capacities of early to mid-career civil society representatives and diplomats from ASEM countries. The objective of the program is to strengthen the understanding of public diplomacy, enhance the network, and provide practical knowledge to design effective public diplomacy campaigns. No application fee is required to apply for the program; all applications need to be sent electronically by August 1st, 2025, via the official portal. Program Structure
Online Course
The online course is designed and implemented by the DiploFoundation. The online course consists of theoretical study, peer-to-peer discussions, and familiarity with new tools such as AI-assisted campaign planning. The duration of the course is 5 weeks, with the focus time required per week being 5-7 hours. Only applicants who have completed the online course will be eligible for the 13th face-to-face training.
In Person Training
The in-person training hosted by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs focuses on hands-on campaigns, interactive workshops led by renowned mentors, and networking events. Moreover, a culture tour will also be organized for the participants to experience the host culture and history. The duration of the training is 5 days from 1 to 5 December 2025 in Singapore

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants fulfilling the following criteria are eligible to apply for the ASEFPDT13
- The applications are invited from the citizens of Europe and Asia
- The program is intended for Early or mid-career professionals working in Asia Asia-Europe context
- Holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree with at least 3 years of Diplomatic work experience
- Demonstrate interest in Public Affairs, Communication, or Public Diplomacy
- Proficiency in the English language
