The duration of the summer research scientist internship is 12 weeks which will begin in late November in Sydney NSW, Australia. Eligibility criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply for the Google summer research internship:

  • Academic Status: Students currently pursuing Master’s and PhD degree programs in the areas of computer science, applied mathematics, or related technical fields
  • Experience: Have experience in Software Engineering Natural Language Understanding, Large Language Models, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, etc.).
  • Programming language: Have expertise in C/C++, Python, or Java

Preference is given to:

  • Students in full-time degree programs, return to degree programs after the completion of the internship
  • Contributed to the research communities
  • Have research experience including (Lab work, or internships)
  • Experience in one of the programming languages:
    • C/C++, Java, MATLAB, Go, Python, TF, PAX/JAX, etc.).

Intern Responsibilities 

  • Participate in research and provide solutions for problems
  • Research, design, and develop  software application
  • Contribute to projects by utilizing NLP, Artificial intelligence, ML, etc
