Today at Opportunities Radar, we are here with an exciting Essay Competition that could be your ticket to a fully funded trip to Azerbaijan. You heard it right! The application window for the CICA Essay Contest 2025 is now open for applications. An essay contest co-organized by the Ministry of Youth & Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the CICA Secretariat is inviting applications from young intellectuals aged 18-30 years old from CICA member states to apply.
The winner of the essay contest will be awarded with the 3 days fully funded trip to Baku, Azerbaijan, to attend the award ceremony and sightseeing tour in October 2025. This year, the topic of the essay competition is “Youth as Catalysts for Peace, Cooperation and Sustainable Development in the CICA Region”. No Application fee will be charged to any candidates while applying for the contest. The last date for the submission of essays is July 15th, 2025. Essay Topic
Topic: “Youth as Catalysts for Peace, Cooperation and Sustainable Development in the CICA Region”.
Relevance: The mentioned topic is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, SDG 16, which focuses on (Peace, justice, and strong institutions), and SDG 17 focuses on (Partnerships for the Goals).
Essay Requirements
- Language: Essay must be written in English Language
- Essay Format: Must be submitted in PDF Format
- Bibliography: Include a Bibliography at the end of the essay
- Font: Participants need to use Arial, Size 14 font
- Spacing: Line spacing should be set to 1.3 cm
- Margins: set margins to 2cm on all sides
- Numbering: Mention the page number in the lower right corner
- Word Count: Essay must be between 1,500 to 2000 words
- Uniqueness: Essay must be free from plagiarism
Important Tips:
- The essay must be aligned with the focus theme
- The essay must be creative and demonstrate creative thinking in addressing the topic
- Have a logical structure, well-organized arguments, and clarity in language
- Essays must be insightful and informative
Eligibility Criteria:
- Individuals aged between 18-30 years old from CICA member states
- Each participant needs to submit one essay
- Each essay must be accompanied by a brief biography of the author
- Do not include your name in the Essay

How to Apply for CICA Contest?
Applicants who are interested in the contest need to send their essays via email to azeyouth@mys.gov.az and youthcontest@scica.org along with a complete registration form.
