The applications for one of the most awaited “Local International Training 2025” in Turkey are now open for applications. The Union of Municipalities of Turkiye has recently announced its flagship training program through its official portal and is seeking applications from outstanding foreign students and fresh graduates. The LOCALINTERNational, also known as the (International Local Authorities Training Program,” is annually organized by the Union of Municipalities of Turkiye since 2012. The program is exclusively designed for foreign students and recent graduates to learn about the basic principles of Turkish Local Government.
The internship program consists of hands-on training followed by field visits, and social-cultural activities. The objective of the internship program is to provide outstanding applicants with a local governance experience. The duration of the internship is 8 days, which will be held in Turkiye from August 31st – September 7th, 2025. This is a fully funded training program in Turkiye. All the costs related to the internship will be covered by the host organization which includes airfare coverage, meals, accommodation, field visits, etc.
The Local International internship in Turkey is highly competitive. The selection is based on applicants’ English language proficiency, International experience, and academic achievements.
