The United Nations, through its official “UN Career” portal, has announced the “Intern-Public Information” Level-1 position in its Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) for the New York Office, and is seeking applications from highly motivated and talented students to apply and have an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the work of the United Nations. The minimum duration of the internship is 2 months, and the maximum is 6 months, during which the interns will gain hands-on experience while working on real-time projects under the supervision of an assigned staff member in SPCS.

The internship is inviting applications from students currenly pursuing Undergraduate or Master’s, PhD degree programs, or those who have recently graduated from the mentioned degree programs. No prior work experience is required to be eligible for the position; however, students’ study areas must be closely relevant to the position they are applying for. Eligiblity Criteria

• The internship is calling for applications from all nationalities
• International applicants must have appropriate work authorization to undertake an internship in the USA.
• Students currenly enrolled in the Bachelor’s, Master’s & Phd degree programs in accredited universities can apply
• Students must be in the final year of the degree programs
• Those who have recently graduated from the above-mentioned degrees may also apply
• Applicants must be pursuing or have graduated from fields closely relevant to the position announced.
• Know digital technologies such as Social Media platforms, design, Photoshop, Canva, & trello
• Possess strong digital and communication skills
