One of the most anticipated youth events in Europe is now back with its 17th Edition. You heard it right: the applications are now open for the “Your Europe, Your Say” Youth Event 2026, scheduled to take place in Brussels, Belgium’s most vibrant cities, from 19-20 March 2026. It’s a flagship initiative of the European Economic and Social Committee that aims to bring together around 137 young changmakers and their accompanying mentors from across eligible EU member states and the United Kingdom.
The YEYS Brussels serves as a unique platform where young leaders from different countries will gather, promote civic engagement, facilitate dialogue on key European issues, and provide recommendations that shape EU policies. It’s a fully funded program; the European Economic & Social Committee (EESC) offers generous support to the selected participants, covering Travel Costs and Accommodation for the duration of the program.
No Application fee is required to apply for the program; the application process is online. Individuals interested in the event must submit their applications by November 30th, 2025. Read more details about the Youth Event below.

The event is offering a total of 137 seats that will comprise:
- Secondary School Students: 37
- Accompanying teachers: 37
- Young Adults selection through open call: 43
- Young Adults Nominated by EESC: 15
- Young Adults from Brussels: 5
Eligible Countries
Candidates from the following countries are eligible to apply:
- Holding a nationality of any of the 27 EU Member States
- Applicants living in the following 9 EU candidate Countries:
- Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Georgia, Herzegovina, Bosnia, Ukraine, Turkiye
- Applicants holding a nationality of the United Kingdom

Eligiblity Criteria
Applicants meeting the following criteria are invited to submit their applications
- Applicants must be from the above-mentioned Eligible countries
- Calling applications from secondary school students, young adults & teachers
- Age requirement:
- School students 16-25 years
- Young Adults: 18-25
- Previously had not participated in the YEYS
- Excellent command of the English language

The application process is online via the European Youth Portal. Applicants need to follow the following steps:
Choose the Application Route:
- Secondary school students 16-18: Your school will submit the application
- Young Adults 18-25: Applicants can be by themselves or by a youth council or a Youth organization
The application form consists of:
- Individual personal details
- Demonstrate community activities
- A motivation letter
