FAO, also known as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, has recently made an internship and application portal available for talented and dynamic students from FAO member countries to apply.

Internship positions are available at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy. The duration of the internship is a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months. The internship is inviting applications from outstanding undergraudate and Graduate students, as well as applicants who have recently graduated in fields relevant to the FAO areas of work. Eligibility Criteria

  • You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the FAO internship
  • FAO is accepting applications from individuals from FAO Member Countries
  • Current Undergraduate & Graduate students or recent graduates can apply
  • Applicants must be pursuing or have secured a degree from recognized institutes
  • Applicants must be specialized in a field relevant to FAO work
  • Working knowledge of one of the FAO official languages (English, French, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, or Arabic)
  • Individuals must be aged between 21 and 30 Years old
  • Students must have excellent academic standings
  • Able to work in a multicultural work environment
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The internship doesn’t require IELTS/TOEFL

Ineligiblity 

  • Candidates’ immediate family members employed by FAO are not eligible to apply
  • Applicants not specializing in the fields relevant to the FAO domain
  • Previously had not participated in the FAO internship

Internship Coverage

The FAO interns will recieve the following support for the duration of the programme:
