Want to have an immersive experience in China through a fully funded conference? Well, the application window for one of China’s biggest conferences is now open. You heard it right! The applications are open for the “Yenching Global Symposium 2026”. A fully funded conference in China, hosted by the Yenching Academy of Peking University, offers an inredible opportunity to the young intellectuals from around the world to engage in interdisciplinary dialogues on China-related issues. Beyond insightful academic panels, participants will also take part in workshops and cultural activities, followed by site visits.
The Yenching Academy is inviting applications from students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s degree program or who have graduated in any discipline with a strong interest in China to apply. The conference will run for 4 days in April 2026 at Peking University, China. The host organizers provide generous support to participants, covering all program-related costs. Eligiblity Criteria
Individuals meeting the following criteria are invited to submit applications for the Yenching Global Symposium:
- The global symposium is open to all nationals
- Applicants must be born on or after May 1995
- Students currently in the bachelor’s or master’s degree, or who have graduated
- No field restriction, applicants from any academic background may apply
- Undergraduate students must be in the final year of their degree program
- No prior work experience required
- Commit to attending the complete program in person during the conference dates
- Applicants must have a strong command of English
Ineligiblity
- The following individuals are not eligible to apply
- Applicants born before May 1995
- Previously participated in the Yenching Global Symposium
- Unable to attend the entire program
