Einstein Forum, through its official portal, has announced its flagship fellowship and is seeking applications from talented and motivated individuals from around the world. A prestigious cross-disciplinary fellowship program cohosted by the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation in Potsdam/Caputh, Germany, offers an exceptional opportunity for young leaders to work on a research project in a different field from their previous research. The fellowship invites applications from candidates holding a minimum first-level university degree in humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and related fields.

The objective of the Einstein fellowship program is to support outstanding researchers doing exceptional work in their area of specialization. The fellowship covers all program-related expenses, including free accommodation at Einstein Summer House, a monthly stipend, and travel expenses. The fellowship lasts for 6 months, during which you will work on a research project. By the end of the program, you are expected to present your research in a public lecture at the Einstein Forum. Who can Apply?

The Einstein Forum fellowship is accepting applications from applicants meeting the following criteria:

  • Nationality: Accepting applications from all nationals except German nationals
  • Age Requirement: Under 35 years of age at the time of application
  • Academic Background: Holding a first-level university degree in social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, or related fields
  • Achievement: Demonstrate excellent academic achievements
  • Research Work: Your proposed research work must be different in the field from previous research
  • Commitment: Must commit to full-time in-person participation during fellowship dates

Einstein Fellowship Coverage

The fellowship offers the following financial coverage to the fellows:

  • Stipend: Fellows will recieve a stipend of €10,000/month to cover living expenses
  • Accommodation: Free accommodation at Albert Einstein’s summer house, located in Caputh, Brandenburg, for the complete duration
  • Travel: Round-trip travel costs to/from Germany
