Here’s some exciting news: applications are now open for the highly anticipated “Chatham House Academy Fellowships 2026-27.” This is a prestigious 10-month in-person fellowship at Chatham House, UK, starting in October 2026. It is a full-time program with flexible work options, including in-person and hybrid participation. The fellowship lasts 10 months and is non-extendable. Currently, the academy is recruiting for four different fellowships, each with its own specific criteria.

The Chatham House Academic Fellowships are designed for early- to mid-career professionals working in academia, NGOs, business, media, government, or civil society who have an interest in international affairs and align with Chatham House’s mission and values. During the fellowship, fellows will have opportunities to conduct independent research on policy topics, contribute to Chatham House events, and collaborate with global experts and policymakers. The program also includes participation in the Leadership Masterclass to develop leadership skills.

Fellowship Coverage

Eligiblity Criteria

  • Early to midcareer professionals working in academia, NGOs, civil society, media, or business
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Proficiency in the English Language
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in conducting independent research
  • Demonstrate commitment to Chatham House commitment and values
  • Must commit to work full-time on fellowship dates
