NATO Young Professionals Programme 2026 (YPP) | Fully Funded

Do you want to work with NATO? The North Atlantic Treaty Organization has announced the call for applications for its flagship “NATO Young Professionals Programme 2026.” For those unfamiliar with the program, it’s a 3-year rotational program offered to talented early-career professionals to gain professional work experience across multiple NATO bodies. The NATO YPP is designed for early-career professionals aged 21-32 from NATO member countries with at least one-year of demonstrated work experience. Applicants must hold a minimum master’s degree or equivalent in relevant areas at the time of application. The program offers a wide range of perks and benefits to participants, including health insurance, competitive salaries, travel reimbursements, and more. NATO does not charge any application fee. About NATO YPP 2026

The Young Professional programme is a flagship initiative of NATO that aims to attract talented early-career professionals to accelerate their careers through early-career positions at NATO. It’s a structured 3-year rotational programme that allows you to work in a wide range of areas within different NATO bodies. Each applicant will spend 1 year in one NATO body, and in total, work in 3 NATO bodies. After completion of the program, the participants may be appointed to a full-time role in one of NATO’s bodies.

Eligiblity Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the program:

  • Citizens of NATO member countries are invited to apply
  • Education: Holding a Master’s or equivalent degree at the time of application
  • Academic Background: Completed degree program in fields relevant to NATO’s work, such as International Relations, Political Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Law, HR, or related areas
  • Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of professional experience, which can include internships, Research roles, and entry-level jobs
  • Age Requirement: 21-32 years old at time of application
  • Willing to work in various NATO bodies in different NATO locations
  • Profiency in the English language (Knowledge of other NATO languages is an assett)
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record

Inelgibility

  • Not a national of a NATO member state
  • Unable to provide NATO security clearance
  • Holding a bachelor’s degree
  • Have no professional work experience
