An exciting paid internship for students at a renowned international organization in the United States is not to be missed! Applications are open for the CSIS Research Internship 2026. The Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) has announced a call for applications for “Research Intern – Southeast Asia Program” via its official career portal and invites applications from highly talented and self-motivated students with a strong background in Southeast Asia studies, U.S.-South Asia relations, and political economy and international relations.

The South Asia program is designed for high-achieving students enrolled in an undergraduate degree program or who have recently graduated from a recognized, accredited U.S. institution. It’s a full-time, paid internship. Interns will be paid hourly based on experience. The internship lasts 4 months and takes place at CSIS HQ in Washington, starting in mid-June 2026. It’s a dynamic program that offers students and recent graduates hands-on experience in policy research, digital media production, leadership development, and event management.

Eligiblity Criteria

You must meet the following required criteria to be eligible
Students enrolled in bachelor’s/master’s programs or who are recent graduates
Have a minimum 3.0 CGPA
Excellent writing and research skills
Knowledge of digital media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Fluency in any South Asian language would be an assett
Able to work in the United States
Profiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Intern Roles

Manage the program’s digital media presence
Help the Ad doc with research projects and organizing information

Benefits

Interns will be paid hourly as per their education level:
- Current Bachelors students: $18.00/hour
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree: $19.00/hour
- Applicants with a master’s degree: $20.00/hour
