What could be better than gaining immersive research experience at one of Singapore’s leading research institutes before your graduation? Doesn’t that sound amazing? If so, here is an exciting opportunity. Applications are invited for the NUS IRIS Internship Program 2027. Hosted by the NUS Graduate School at the National University of Singapore, this fully funded internship in Singapore offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on research experience and a unique glimpse into NUS graduate studies. The Internship Research Immersion in Singapore (IRIS) is a 2-3-month internship program designed for students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs in any academic discipline.
There are no country restrictions. Students from across ASEAN and around the world are invited to apply. Selected interns will be mentored by dedicated faculty upon joining the labs, contribute to ongoing projects, and gain hands-on research experience in world-class facilities. Who can apply?
Applicants meeting the following criteria can apply:
- IRIS internship is open to all nationalities.
- Students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Students must maintain student status throughout the program.
- Bachelor’s students must have completed at least 2 years of the degree program.
- Demonstrate excellent academic achievement; have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- NUS students are not eligible to apply.

- Step 1: Interested applicants need to access the graduate admission system (GDA3).
- Step 2: Select Add new program -> Select Non-Degree -> “Full Time” -> enroll in January 2027 -> select View Program for application, then click the Apply Now button to start your application.
