To all the journalists seeking opportunities to deepen their understanding of politics, markets, and the economy, we are here with an exciting residency program in the United States that allows you to step away from your regular newsroom environment and learn from the world’s leading business schools! Applications are open for the Chicago Booth Residence Programme 2027. A fully funded professional development opportunity for journalists from around the world to deepen their understanding of business, politics, markets, and the economy. Organized by the Stigler Center at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, USA, this 12-week program is scheduled to be held in Chicago from March 15 to May 31, 2027.
Through audit classes, seminars, workshops, and interaction with leading journalists and academics from across the world, participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of political economy. Selected participants will also receive a $14,000 stipend to cover their living expenses. No application fee is required. The last date for submission of applications is September 20th, 2026. To be eligible for the residence program, you must meet the following criteria:

- Have some years of experience in media and journalism
- Strong interest in learning about political economy
- Commit to full-time participation during the program dates
