CRG Research Training Program 2027 in Barcelona, Spain – Fully Funded

A fully funded research opportunity for bachelor’s and master’s students in Spain that you shouldn’t miss. The CRG Research Training Program 2027 is now accepting applications. Offered by the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, the program provides talented and motivated bachelor’s and master’s students with the opportunity to gain practical research experience in an international environment. The training program lasts up to 4 months. The program welcomes applications from students with diverse academic backgrounds. Depending on the research projects offered, current projects listed on the official portal cover areas such as genomics, bioinformatics, molecular biology, biotechnology, computational biology, machine learning, cancer research, evolution, proteomics, and neuroscience.

The program provides generous support to selected participants, offering a €700 monthly gross stipend and travel support of up to €1,000 for non-European flights or €400 for European flights. There are no country restrictions. The research training program is open to both European and non-European nationals who meet the program’s eligibility requirements. No application fee is required. Submit your application before December 31, 2026.

About CRG Training Programme

It’s a prestigious, fully funded training program hosted by the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, Spain. The program provides bachelor’s and master’s students with an opportunity to conduct research and gain experience in an international laboratory. Students will have access to the institute’s advanced research technologies, courses, seminars, and training.

For the 2026/2027 academic session, a total of 10 fellowships will be awarded across different research projects. Each project will remain open until the best candidate is selected. An ideal opportunity for students who want to develop the skills needed for future scientific careers.

Who can Apply?

Students meeting the following criteria are invited to apply:

  • CRG welcomes students of all nationalities
  • Be enrolled in a bachelor’s or MSc degree program
  • Must sign a university agreement with CRF
  • Meet the requirements of the chosen research project

  • Be able to complete the training during the 2026/27 session
