Applications are invited for the EPFL Summer Internship 2027 in Switzerland, a fully funded internship program in Europe hosted by the School of Computer and Communication Sciences at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). The EPFL Summer Research Internship is designed for current bachelor’s and master’s students in computer science, telecommunications, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields. EPFL offers a 2-3-month internship program that typically begins between May and September 2027. Selected interns will work with EPFL research groups, gain hands-on research experience, and receive full financial support during their stay in Switzerland.

About Summer@EPFL
It’s a fully funded summer research internship program for international students that allows you to join a research group at EPFL and work on real scientific projects under the supervision of renowned scientists. During the program, participants will work on design tasks, programs, and research challenges aligned with their academic backgrounds.
It’s an ideal opportunity to gain international research experience, develop technical skills, and collaborate with renowned researchers at one of Switzerland’s leading research institutes.
The Summer@EPFL aims to attract talented students from around the world and provide them with firsthand research experience in their desired field of study.
Who can Apply?
To be eligible for the Summer@EPFL, you must meet the following criteria:
- Calling applications from all nationalities
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in relevant fields
- Have completed the first year of a bachelor’s program
- Enrolled in a university other than EPFL
- PhD students are not eligible to apply
- Relevant fields include: computer science, computer engineering, telecommunications, electrical engineering, or related fields.
- Have a strong academic record
Internship Benefits
Interns will recieve following support:
- A living allowance of CHF 1,800 per month
