The Aalto University offers master’s degree programs in three major fields of study: Business and economics, Technology and engineering, and Arts & Design. Applicants holding a minimum undergraduate degree with excellent academic records are invited to submit their applications. The scholarship support is against your Full tuition waiver. No separate application is required for the Excellence scholarship; you have to answer “Yes” on the admission application form. The scholarships are highly competitive and merit-based; only the best candidates admitted to the master’s program will be awarded the scholarship.

Study Areas

The Aalto University offers master’s degree programs in three major fields of study:

  1. Business & Economics
  2. Art & Design
  3. Technology & Engineering

Applicants can select up to two study options in their applications.

Admission Criteria

  • Accepting applications from all nationals
  • Applicants with a minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Final year students with expected graduation by July 31st, 2026, may also apply.
  • Minimum language proficiency score: IELTS 6.5 | TOEFL iBT 92 |PTE A 62
  • Students must possess excellent academic achievements

Excellence Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • The scholarships are offered to non-EU/EEA nationals
  • Applicants must secure admission to a full-time master’s degree program
  • Students must have a strong academic record
  • A quality study plan that demonstrates your interest in the field

Inelgibility

  • Nationals of EU/EEA member states are not eligible
  • Applicants who have not secured an admission offer from the institute
  • Incomplete submission of the application

Scholarship Coverage

  • The excellence scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver of 100% to 50% for the master’s degree program.
