ADB Japan Masters Scholarship 2025 | Fully Funded

Bachelor’s degree holders in any of the fields of study, including science and technology, economics, business and management, development studies, law, and public policy, with the intention of pursuing a full-time Master’s degree program (in research or study mode) in any of the 29 partner institutions across Asia and the Pacific, shall be eligible to apply for the fully funded scholarship of ADB-Japan for the year 2025, provided they get the acceptance letter to one of these institutions.

ADB Masters Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

In order to qualify for the ADB-Japan scholarship, a candidate must be

  • A national from both an ADB borrowing member country and a Japanese ODA scholarship-eligible country, such as South Asian, Southeast Asian, Central Asian, and Pacific Island countries, are eligible to apply.
  • One should not surpass the age of 35 and uphold excellent health.
  • Holding a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong academic records
  • Have gained two years of professional work experience after obtaining my degree.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills.
  • Who has gained admission to an approved master’s degree program at a designated institution in the Asia and Pacific region for studies in economics, business and management, science and technology, and other development-related fields?

Application Procedure for the ADB-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP):

  • Requesting Information and Application Forms: To request an application form, contact one of ADB’s partner institutions.
  • Completion of Requisite Application Documents: Duly fill out your institution’s application form, as well as the ADB-JSP Information Sheet and any other required information or document.
  • The institution evaluates and decides on admission: The institution evaluates your application based on its admission criteria.
  • Shortlisted candidates: The institution sends a shortlist of candidates to ADB.
  • ADB reviews submissions from institutions: ADB reviews the shortlisted candidates submitted by institutions.
  • ADB recommends awardees: Based on its review criteria, ADB recommends scholarship awardees.
  • ADB selects scholars and notifies institutions: After conducting a further review, ADB selects the scholars and notifies the institution
  • The institution notifies all scholars: The institution communicates the results to each applicant.
