AYFN Japan Winter Culture Camp 2025: Experience Japan Culture

The ASEAN Youth Friendship Network is currently accepting applications for the AYFN Japan Winter Culture Camp 2025. International applicants aged 17-40 years, irrespective of their academic background, are welcome to apply for this 6-day fully funded program, which will be hosted in Japan over three different locations (Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe), where they will have the opportunity to experience Japanese learning, culture, and traditions.

Japan carries a rich historical background and a perfect blend of modernism with oriental tradition, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience with exquisite cuisine, the fastest bullet trains, traditional attire, shrines, temples, and over-the-top learning. You will make many friends, exchange ideas while experiencing, and acquire skills that are essential in today’s globalized world.

About AYFN Japan Culture Camp

AYFN Academy, in collaboration with the local Japanese organization, has been organizing the Japan Culture Camp since 2015 with the motive of spreading awareness about the Japanese culture and the inclusion of people from other parts of the world, especially youth, welcoming them with open arms and willingness to live, learn, and experience Japan like anything.

Eligibility Criteria:

To meet the eligibility requirements, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be between the age bracket of 17 and 40 years old.
  • Eligible applicants are citizens of all countries.
  • You love to travel and interact with people from other cultures.
  • You demonstrate leadership skills.
  • You are involved in social and youth engagement activities.
  • Able to communicate in English

Scheme of Participation:

You can participate in this program in two ways; scholarship and Self-funded

Scholarships:

Scholarships are available in 3 schemes. The Gold, Silver, and Blue schemes offer travel grants and program fee waivers.

Travel grant:

With these schemes, AYFN can provide travel grants of up to $1,250.

  • Gold: AYFN will waive the program fee and provide travel grants up to USD 1,250.
  • Silver: AYFN will waive the program fee and provide travel grants up to USD 500.
  • Blue: AYFN will waive the program fee and provide travel grants up to USD 250.

Program Fee:

Program fee includes:

  • Accommodation 6D5N (Double shared),
  • Meals (4 Breakfast and 4 Lunch)
  • All activities indicated on the schedule
  • All tours indicated on the schedule,
  • Local transport (Train and Bus)
  • E-Certificate of participation from AYFN,
  • Program supervision
  • In-country administration costs and souvenirs from AYFN

Self-funded

Interested candidates can also opt for the self-funded option.

Please prepare all required documents before submitting your application.

  • Curriculum Vitae (Resume)—European standard.
  • 250-word motivation letter on “Why do I need this scholarship?”
  • 250-word essay on “Why do I deserve this scholarship?”
  • Proof of payment for the application fee.
