The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank is pleased to announce the applications for its Flagship “Global Internship Program” and invites applications from highly motivated students from around the world to have an unparalleled experience at one of the leading Asian banks, committed towards sustainable economic development and improving infrastructure in Asian countries.
The internship program is designed for students currently enrolled in the full-time master’s and PhD degree programs in internationally recognized institutes. The internship duration is 2 months, scheduled to take place at the AIIB Headquarters in Beijing. It’s a structured program that aims to provide students with practical work exposure while working on the AIIB real-time projects under the supervision of AIIB experts in a dynamic, multicultural work environment.
Currently, the bank offers two distinct internship pathways: 1) Corporate internship, 2) Research academic internship, which we will discuss later in this post. Eligiblity Criteria:
AIIB is calling for applications from individuals fulfilling the following criteria:
- It’s a global internship, open to all nationals
- Individuals must be enrolled in the full-time Master’s & PhD degree programmes
- Pursuing their degree programmes in internationally recognized institutes
- Your academic background must be relevant to the AIIB Institutional goals
- Remain active students after completing the internship
- No prior work experience required; however, applicants with relevant experience would be preferred
- Excellent English communication skills

Internship Support:
The internship offers the following support to the selected students:
- Recieve a daily allowance of USD90 to cover living expenses
- Roundtrip Airfare ticket
Internship Types
The AIIB offers two distinct internship pathways to provide students with meaningful academic and professional experience.:
1. Corporate Internship
The pathway is designed for students to carry out project-based work that addresses the bank’s key business needs. You will work on projects either collaboratively or individually.
2. Research Internship
The pathway is designed to provide students with hands-on research experience by conducting research-intensive projects under the supervision of renowned researchers and experts, enabling them to contribute to AIIB’s goals through their research. The research/academic internship pathway can be conducted in-person or remotely.
