Applications are open to apply for the Al Jazeera Fellowship Program 2026. A fully funded fellowship program offered by the Al Jazeera Media Institute is calling applications from full-time Journalists and researchers with a background in social sciences to apply and have an opportunity to gain practical experience in journalism while working on a real-time project within the Al Jazeera Media Network under the guidance of Al Jazeera experts. The objective of the program is to promote high-quality journalism in the Global South and help fellows to adapt the latest technologies in journalism field.
Since its inception, Al Jazeera has been working to improve journalism. The duration of the fellowship is 3 months and is delivered in a hybrid format. Phase 1: will be held remotely. Phase 2: will be held in person at Al Jazeera Network headquarters. This is your chance to immerse yourselves in Al Jazeera’s work culture and learn about journalism. Eligiblity Criteria
Applicants meeting the following criteria are eligible to apply:
- The fellowship is open to full-time journalists and researchers in the media
- Must hold a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s)
- Have professional work expereince in media and journalism
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Fluent in the English language, both verbal and written

Program Duration & Phases
The duration of the fellowship is 3 months, which is delivered in two phases which are:
