ASEAN-China Youth Exchange Camp 2024 (Fully Funded)

Opportunities Radar is here with an exciting Fully Funded Exchange Program that will be held in China! Application call for the ASEAN-China Youth Exchange Camp that will be held in Xiamen & Quanzhou, China from 26-31 August 2024. ASEAN Foundation in collaboration with the People’s Republic of China is offering this exchange camp through the ASEAN-China Cooperation fund. The aim of the program is to promote the understanding of ASEAN-China relations.

Applications are invited from talented young applicants from China and 10 ASEAN countries to participate in this fully funded camp. The camp consists of practical training, cultural activities, lectures, dialogues, and much more. Applicants having a keen interest in fostering Asean-China relations are highly encouraged to apply.

Camp Duration & Location

• The duration of the exchange camp is 6 days which will held from 26-31 August 2024 in Xiamen & Quanzbou, China.

Eligiblity Criteria

Eligiblity Criteria for the ASEAN and China students:

ASEAN Students

• Undergraduate, Diploma students from any discipline are eligible to apply
• Students must be enrolled in the tertiary education
• Age requirement 18-25 years old
• Must have good written, and spoken English skills
• Available to join the camp during the program dates
• Must be committed to learn

Eligible Countries

Applicants from the following 10 ASEAN countries can participate in this camp:

• Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Laos, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Burma, Indonesia and Singapore.

Criteria for China

• Students enrolled in Diploma & Undergraduate degree programs in any discipline in China.
• Must hold a nationality of China
• Age requirement 18-25 years
• Available during the program dates

Required Documents

• Applicants personal data
• Passport size photo in JPG or JPEG Format should not exceed the size of 500KBs
• Scanned Passport copy in JPG or JPEG format
• Letter of Recommendation from Faculty/institute/department in PDF format
• List of personal achievements (should not exceed more than 5)
• Essay on the following topics must not exceed 800 words:
  • What do China & ASEAN relations mean to you? How do you think youth meaningfully engage with development and create impact?
  • How do you think ASEAN-China relations have an impact on the country’s citizens in both regions?
  • One important ASEAN regional issue that needs to be addressed at the ASEAN-China level? Also, provide the solutions to resolve the issues.

Program Coverage:

This is a fully funded camp and would provide the following coverage to the selected participants:

• Round-trip Air tickets for the camp, Accommodation & meals during 6 days of stay.
