The office of Academic Resources (OAR) at Chulangokim University has recently announced a call for applications for its flagship “Library Visitng Fellowship”. It is seeking applications from outstanding scholars, library and information professionals from allacross the world to apply.
A 2-month short-term immersive fellowship in Bangkok, Thailand, offers an exceptional opportunity for participants to work on collaborative projects or conduct research in areas such as information science, education technology, scholarly communication, Thai and South Asian studies, etc. The Chula-Global fellowship is offering two program tracks: 1) Professional Practice and 2 Research fellowship. Interested applicants may apply for one of the tracks. The objective of the fellowship program is to promote cross-cultural collaboration and foster knowledge practices in academic resource management. The fellowship is an ideal opportunity to gain hands-on experience and engage in cutting-edge research while working on research projects under the mentorship of renowned faculty.

Program Dates
The fellowship runs in two cycles; you can choose from one of the following periods to begin your program.
- May 1 – June 30, 2026
- June 1 – July 31, 2026
Eligibility Criteria
The Chula Global visiting fellowship is inviting applications from applicants who meet the following criteria:
- The visitng fellowship is open to all nationals
- Thai nationals are not eligible to apply
- Seeking applications from open-minded candidates with an adaptable attitude and committed to working in a culturally diverse work environment.
- An employee of a reputable institute for the full duration of the program
- Excellent command of the English language
- Get an NOC from the host institute for participation in the fellowship
- Committed to attending the full duration of the program
Fellowship Tracks
The visiting fellowship is offering two program tracks you can select from one of the following tracks:
Track 1: Professional Practice in Library or Information Sciences
- Track 1 is intended for the library and information sector, and requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in library operations, digital initiatives, and service innovation. Fellows under this track will gain hands-on practical experience through collaborative projects under the guidance of OAR experts.
Track 2: Scholars & Researchers
- Track 2 is intended for the outstanding scholars holding terminal degrees in any academic background. Fellows in this track will work on a co-authored academic paper and conduct a research project on South Asian and Thai studies by using the OAR’s resources. Preference is given to applicants with a consistent publication record in Southeast Asian Studies, Thai studies, or related areas.
Fellowship Coverage
The Chula Global Library Fellowship offers generous support, which includes:
A competetive stipend of 230,000 TBH, to cover pre-arrival and stay expenses, including:
