To all ambitious graduates, do you want to become a climate warrior and make an impact? The Environment Protection & Climate Change Department (EPCCD), Government of Punjab, has announced the call for applications for the 2nd batch of its flagship CM Punjab Climate Development Internship 2026. This prestigious internship program by the Government of Punjab offers an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain practical experience in climate action, environmental governance, and community engagement while contributing to the EPCCD mission of a greener Punjab. It’s a full-time, paid internship. Interns will receive a competitive stipend of 60,000 PKR for the 3-month duration.

The internship welcomes applications from both male and female applicants, with a 50% quota reserved for female applicants. Therefore, female applicants are highly encouraged to apply. No application fee is required. Applications are submitted online via the official Climate Leadership Development Internship Program portal. All applications must be submitted by July 18th, 2026. About CM Punjab Climate Development Internship

It’s a flagship initiative of the Government of Punjab that allows fresh graduates to gain practical work experience in climate action and environmental governance while contributing to EPCCD’s real-time projects under the supervision of experts. It’s a structured internship program that combines fieldwork and structured learning with practical assignments, providing an excellent learning experience.

The CM Punjab Climate internship is intended for applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree from HEC-recognized institutes. Applicants from a diverse range of academic disciplines are encouraged to apply. The objective of the program is to prepare the next generation of climate leaders who can actively contribute to climate resilience and environmental protection in Punjab.

Who can Apply?

Nationals of Pakistan holding a valid domicile of Punjab.
Completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute.
Have secured at least 75% or equivalent GPA.
Secured a degree in an eligible discipline.
Both Male/Female applicants are welcome to apply.
Meet the required criteria established by the department.
Selection is totally based on merit.
50% seats are reserved for Women applicants.

Interns ‘ Responsibilities

Selected interns will be working on environmental initiatives across Punjab; the responsibilities include:

Support the environmental projects in their assigned district.
Design and participate in the climate awareness campaigns.
Complete the online learning module.
Work on real-time projects alongside field teams.
Contribute to Punjab’s environmental initiatives.
Work on a capstone project based on real-world challenges.
