Well, hold your seats as we are about to announce one of the most renowned scholarship programs. The application window is finally open for the “Commonwealth Shared Scholarship” for the academic session 2026.

One of the prestigious scholarship programs in the UK jointly initiated by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) and the participating UK Universities. The scholarship offers an incredible opportunity for high-achieving students from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries to pursue a full-time 1-year master’s degree program at one of the United Kingdom’s renowned higher education institutions. The objective of the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Program is to support the higher education of deserving students in the United Kingdom who would otherwise be unable to afford it, and to contribute towards the sustainable development of Commonwealth countries.

The scholarships are available for specific master’s courses focused on the six themes of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, which we will discuss later in this post. Currently, 41 UK higher education institutions participate in this scholarship program, including top-ranked institutions such as the University of Cambridge, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Birmingham, and the University of Oxford. The CSC is inviting applications from the eligible Commonwealth countries who have completed an upper second-class degree (high school degree) from a recognized institute.

The program is highly competetive! Students with excellent academic achievements are invited to submit their applications. The recipients of the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship receive a generous support jointly funded by the CSC and UK institutes, including Airfare, living allowance, and Full tuition fees coverage. The application window is currently open. Interested applicants must submit their online application by December 12th, 2025. Read more details regarding the CSC Commonwealth scholarship below.
