Commonwealth Startup Fellowship 2025 – Duration 6 Months (Fully Funded)

To all the aspiring entrepreneurs out there seeking international fellowships, we are here with an exciting international fellowship opportunity offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship that one should not miss out on! Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in collaboration with Imperial College London, has announced applications for the second cohort of Commonwealth Startup Fellowship 2025, which will begin in November 2025. An immersive (6)-month fellowship program tailored to elevate high-potential startups from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries.

The fellowship is delivered in a hybrid model that features immersive in-person as well as online learning to equip fellows with cutting-edge knowledge, essential skills, and valuable connections. The fellowship is inviting applications from young intellectuals having early-stage start-ups from low and middle-income commonwealth countries to apply.

By the end of the program, fellows will be able to build a thriving business, effectively scale their operations, and drive job creation in their home communities. The key feature of the fellowship includes participation in a 2-week intensive BootCamp in Ghana and Accra, scheduled from 14-30 November 2025. Moreover, individuals from the best organizations will also have an opportunity to travel to London for the capstone events. The application window for the Fellowship opens on June 2nd and will close on June 30th, 2025. All interested applicants need to submit their applications within the mentioned due date.

The fellowship coverage includes:

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizens of low and middle-income commonwealth countries can apply
  • Applicants must be at least graduate level
  • Permanent resident of an eligible country
  • Have excellent English communication skills
  • Have not participated in the Commonwealth fellowship in the past 5 years
  • Available during the fellowship dates

Applicants also have to demonstrate

  • Evidence of innovation in the form of a service or product
  • Active business development
  • Proof of customer traction through sales, signed contracts, etc
