MESPOM is an Erasmus Joint Master degree that the European Commission supports, The scholarship is offered to the nationals of all countries applicants Male/Female holding a bachelor’s degree related to environmental sciences, policy, or management in engineering, management, natural or social sciences with good academic standing are invited to submit the applications. Candidates with bachelor’s degrees in other fields and a strong commitment to environmental challenges through professional work will also be considered.
This is a highly competitive scholarship program that is based on intellectual excellence and academic record as well as prior experience. Central European University organizes the applications on behalf of a consortium, The application process is completely online and needs to be submitted before the deadline.

Degree Duration:
- The duration of the MESPOM study program is 24 months (2 Years)
Participating Institutes:
- Central European University (CEU, Vienna)
- University of the Aegean (Lesvos, Greece)
- Lund University (Sweden) focusing on Environment
- the University of Manchester (UK)
MESPOM Scholarship Structure:
- The fall/winter terms of the first year are held at Central European University (Vienna) which is focused on environment sustainability and cross-cutting competencies.
- The Spring term is held at the University of Aegean (Greece) and focuses on courses related to land, water, and ecosystems as well as tourism
- In the summer students will take part in the internship that is supervised by the MESPOM faculty and held at the partner organizations
- The final fall term students will either study at Lund University (Sweden) focused on Industry, environment, and products, or University of Manchester (UK) focusing on Environment and Pollution control.
Financial Coverage
- The scholarship covers Travel, Visa, Subsience and Installation courses for the duration of the complete degree.
Who can Apply?
- MESPOM is inviting applications from all international students
- Must possess a good academic record e.g 3.5 or above CGPA
- Have completed bachelor’s degree in the fields of environmental sciences, policy or management, in the natural or social sciences, engineering or management
- Applicants who have completed bachelor’s degrees in other fields can also be considered if they can demonstrate their interest or commitment to environmental challenges through voluntary work.
