To all the young leaders out there, do you want to participate in an immersive academic exchange programme in South Korea with an exceptional scholarship package? Well then, wait no more, as applications for one of the most awaited Global Young Leaders Exchange Program 2026 are now open. A year-long, fully funded student exchange programme hosted by POSTECH (Pohang University of Science & Technology) aims to cultivate the young generation of future leaders through intensive academic training, research, and cultural immersion at one of the leading South Korean institutes for science & technology.
The academic exchange program lasts 10 months and will take place from August 24 to June 4, 2026, at POSTECH, South Korea. POSTECH is inviting applications from brilliant students currenly enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of the undergraduate degree program in recognized institutes to apply. Who can Apply?
Applicants meeting the following criteria are invitied to submit the applications for the Student Exchange Program in South Korea:
- The POSTECH exchange program is open to all nationalities
- Students currently pursuing their undergraduate degree program must be in the 2nd or 3rd year of the degree program
- Applicants must be enrolled in one of the POSTECH partner institutions
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic achievements
- Have a minimum cumulative CGPA of 3.3 out of 4.00
- Applicants from non native English countries have to submit an English Proficiency certificate
- Language requirement TOEFL 90-100+ | IELTS 6.5-7.5 | Dulingo 120-135+
Programme Structure
- Participate in LEAD+ (Leadership, Engagement, Achievement, and Development) programme, exclusively designed to grow you as a leader
- Since it’s an academic exchange, students are required to enroll in six major courses
- Participate and complete the Korean language course
- Participate in the research activities during winter break
Coverage
- The POSCO & POSTECH offer a generous support to the participants, the coverage includes:
- Round-trip airfare support to/from South Korea
- Transportation & Visa Fee
- A living allowance of 1,000,000 KRW per month
