To students in computer science seeking international internships, we have exciting news: the application for one of Japan’s Global Software Engineering internships is now open. You heard it right! Hennge, one of Japan’s leading SaaS companies, has announced the call for applications for its flagship “Hennge Global Internship Program 2026” and invites applications from motivated male and female students from across the world.
The internship lasts 4-6 weeks and will take place at Hennge’s Shinuya Office in Tokyo, Japan. During the program, students will gain hands-on experience by working on real-time projects alongside the entire engineering team in an international work environment. The internship will be conducted in English. No Japanese is required. Students pursuing or who have recently completed bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree programs in computer science or related fields are invited to apply. The internship offers a monthly stipend, visa guidance, round-trip airfare, medical support, and more.
The program offers two internship pathways: (1) the Full-Stack Engineering Pathway and (2) the Front-end Engineering Pathway, which we will discuss later in this post. Internship Pathways
The Hennge GIP internship is offering two internship pathways that are:
1. Full Stack Engineering Pathway
In this path, the interns will be developing the back-end APIS and front-end interfaces for the applications with a core focus on security, management, and testing on a cloud-integrated stack
Structure
- 1-4 weeks interns will work on Application development
- Week 5: Deployment on cloud infrastructure
2. Front End Engineering Pathway
In this path, the interns will develop front-end applications using React or Vue. You will learn how your work can integrate with the cloud infrastructure and back-end services.
- Structure
- 1-4 weeks: Application development training
- Week 5: Working on the DevOps project

- An academic background must be in computer science or a related field
- Fluency in the English language
- Knowledge of Python, React, Go, Typescript
- Profiency in MacOS/LINUX
- Demonstrate interest in starting their career in Japan
Front End Engineering Pathway
- Open for all nationals
- Undergraudate, Master’s, and Doctoral students can apply
- Individuals recently completed their degrees can also apply
- Pursuing or have completed their degree in computer science or related fields
- Profiency in the English language
- Knowledge of React, Typescript
- Demonstrate interest in open source development
- Interesed to pursue their career in Japan
