The USEFP also known as the United States Education Foundation in Pakistan has announced the applications for the 2024-25 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship in USA. The applications are invited by the mid career professionals having at least 5-10 years of experience in their relevant field. The fellowship duration is 10-12 months and you will enroll in graduate-level non-degree academic coursework in the United States of America.

The fellowships are available in Human and institutional capacity, Rights and freedom, Sustainable Lands, and Thriving communities. 18 different universities in the United States will host the fellows for this program. During the fellowship participants will be engaged in academic coursework and internships in a relevant professional organization.

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship is a growing international network that exchanges best practices and cultivates knowledge in vital fields to strengthen institutions and society.

In addition, it promotes human rights and freedoms, ensures sustainable environments, and creates thriving communities. Also, it does this through academic study and professional development with U.S. counterparts.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

  • The fellowship program requires successful applicants to be citizens of Pakistan who live and work in Pakistan for the duration of the program.
  • Applicants must have at least five years of increasingly responsible professional or work experience, sixteen years of formal education, and proof of employment upon return to Pakistan.
  • Candidates with different backgrounds and/or from underprivileged communities must apply.
  • Candidates must be extremely proficient in both written and spoken English.

Who Is Ineligible to Apply?

  • University instructors or researchers with no prior management experience or comparable duties.
  • Completed graduate study in the US during the last seven years.
  • Those who have worked in the US for a significant amount within the last five years.
  • Those with dual US/Pakistani nationality or with a spouse, parent, or child over 18 who is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  • The U.S. Department of State, USAID, and Fulbright organization employees and contractors, as well as their spouses, parents, siblings, children, and dependents, are not qualified.
