Who can Apply?
To be eligible for the Mext Postgraduate research scholarship you need to meet the following requirements:
- Applicants holding citizenship in Malaysia are only eligible to apply
- Applicants under 35 years of age as of 1st April 2025
- Holding bachelor, or Master’s degree in relevant fields of studies
- Have secured a minimum 3.4 or above CGPA out of 4.0
- Students with expected graduation by March/September 2025 can also apply.
- Students must have a good command of the English or Japanese language
- Applicants must be willing to learn the Japanese language
- Applicants already pursuing their degree programs in Japan are not eligible
