Join Merchant Navy 2027-2028 | 65th Batch Admission Open

Do you want to join the Pakistan Merchant Navy? Here is an exciting opportunity. The Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA) has opened admissions for the 65th batch of Nautical (Deck) and Marine Engineering Cadets for the 2027-28 academic session. The Marine Academy seeks applications from talented male applicants from Pakistan who wish to join the Merchant Navy and see the world. To be eligible for admission, you must have completed your FSc in Engineering or an A-level degree with a subject combination of Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, and have scored at least 55%.

Applicants from across Pakistan are invited to submit their applications. After securing admission, candidates will complete 2 years of training at PMA. Upon completion of training, you will be awarded the associate degree in Nautical and Marine Engineering by NED University of Engineering and Technology. Who can Apply?

Applicants interested in joining the Pakistan Merchant Navy must meet the following criteria:

  • Unmarried male citizens of Pakistan are invited to apply.
  • Applicants’ age must not exceed 20 years at the time of application.
  • Age relaxation of 1 year is provided to candidates from FATA/Gilgit Baltistan/Baluchistan/AJK.
  • Have completed FSC in pre-engineering or A-level with a combination of (Physics, Maths and Chemistry).
  • Have secured at least 55% marks in FSC or A levels.
  • Result-awaited candidates can apply by submitting a hope certificate.

Ineligibility:

  • Submission of tampered education materials or certificates.
  • Submitting an incomplete application.
  • Submission of application after due date.
  • Candidates dismissed, removed, or debarred from Government service.
  • Diploma holders are not eligible to apply.
  • Declared medically unfit by the medical board.
  • Declared color blind.

Selection Procedure

Applicants will undergo the following selection procedure:

  1. Entrance exam/NTS.
  2. Medical test.
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PTS).
  4. Final Interview.

For selection, it’s mandatory to pass all the above-mentioned stages

The entrance test will be conducted in the following centers:

  • Karachi, Gawadar, Lahore, Multan, Abbottabad, Muzaffarabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Islamabad, Sukkur

Training

Successful applicants will go through:

  • 2 years of training at Pakistan Marine Academy
  • On completion of training, awarded the Associate degree from NED

Applicants who are interested in joining the Merchant Navy need to download the prospectus and application form from the PMA offical website. Submit the complete application via courier along with the payment order of Rs 4000 on behalf of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi, National Bank of Pakistan.
