Join Merchant Navy 2025-26 – Application call for the Pakistan Marine Academy Admission! The government of Pakistan Marine Academy has recently announced the admissions for the 63rd Batch of the Nautical & Marine Engineering cadet course for the session (2025-26). Applications are invited from the students who have passed FSC Pre Engineering and A levels with at least 55% marks.

Ministry of Maritime Affairs also offers 33 need-based scholarships to deserving students, the quota is set for each province for the scholarship we will discuss in detail later in this post. Male applicants from all over Pakistan are eligible to apply for the PMA 63rd Batch.

Selected applicants will be provided with 2 years of training at Pakistan Marine Academy Karachi, after the completion of the training they will be awarded the Associate degree in Nautical Science & Marine Engineering by the National University of Engineering and Technology (NED). Who can Apply?

  • Male nationals of Pakistan
  • Applicant must be unmarried
  • Age must not be more than 20 years as of 31st December 2024
  • Age relaxation of 1 year for applicants from Fata/AJK/GB/Balochistan

Qualification Required

  • Have passed FSc (Pre-engineering) or A levels with (Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry subjects)
  • For A-level students, you must provide an equivalence certificate
  • Have Obtained at least 55% marks
  • Applicants can apply on hope certificate if their 2nd-year results are not announced.

Available Scholarships

Ministry of Maritime Affairs offers 33 need-based scholarships to deserving applicants. The scholarships are distributed through a quota set for each province.

  • KPK: 06
  • Sindh: 06
  • Punjab: 06

Education & Training

  • 2 years of residential training in PMA, Karachi
  • After completion of training, you will be awarded the degrees from NED
  • Provided with the Certificate of International Maritime Organization (IMO)

Selection Process

  • Entrance test will be conducted in the following cities:
  • Multan, Muzaffarabad (AJK), Quetta, Rawalpindi. Peshawar, Sukkur
  • Applicants need to secure at least 50% marks in tests to be eligible
  • Shortlisted applicants will go through a medical test at Army/Navy hospitals
  • Final selection is made on the basis of Fsc Marks, Entry Test Masks, Physical tests, and interviews.

Physical Test Requirement:

  • Running: One mile in 6 Minutes
  • Pushups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Chin-ups: 2 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Situps: 2 repetitions in 2 minutes

Ineligibility Criteria:

  • Submission of tempered academic record
  • Submission of incomplete application
  • Withdrawn from any forces institutes
  • Dismissed or resigned from any government institute
  • Declared medically unfit or colorblind.

Interested applicants need to download the prospectus and application form from the official Pakistan Marine Academy website.
