Kazakhstan Scholarships for International Students 2025 (550 Grants Available)

Applications are open for the “Kazakhstan Scholarships for International Students 2025”. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan has recently announced the scholarship opportunity through its official portal and invited applications from international students from any part of the world to pursue Undergraduate, Masters & PhD degree programs in one of the participating Higher education institutes of Kazakhstan. Scholarships are available in a wide range of academic fields and majors students belonging to diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

A total number of 500 scholarship grants will be awarded for the session 2025. The Kazakhstan scholarship for international students offers comprehensive support it covers full tuition fees and monthly allowance based on the academic program. The portal will start accepting applications from 30 March onwards till 31st March 2025. Details About Kazakhstan Scholarships for international students 2025

Number of Grants:

A total of 550 grants will be awarded to international students under this program, number of awards are distributed as:

• Undergraduate Level: 490
• Masters Level: 50
• PhD Level: 10

*Huge number of grants are available for undergraduate studies we highly encourage students who have completed their high school degree to apply for this scholarship program.

Scholarship Coverage

• The Kazakhstan scholarship offers:
• Full tuition fee coverage
• Monthly Allowance

Not included:

• Accommodation
• Travel costs
• Medical Insurance
• Visa fees

*Applicants need to bear all the costs that are not covered under this program.

Eligibility Criteria

Foreign nationals fulfilling the following criteria are eligible for the Kazkhstan scholarships:

Bachelors Degree Requirements

• Identity card copy
• Applicants have completed their high school degree for bachelors
• Have secured a minimum of an A grade in previous degree level
• A degree transcript of previous level of education
• A motivational essay
• A medical certificate that states you are fit to study abroad
• Two letters of Recommendation

Masters Degree Requirements

• Applicants have secured a bachelor’s degree to apply for the master’s program
• National identity card copy
• Degree transcript of the previous level of education (e.g Bachelor’s)
• Minimum GPA score of 3.0 out of 4.0 or its equivalent
• Motivational letter
• Two letters of recommendation from the host institute
• Health certificate

Requirements for a PhD Studies

• Have secured a master’s degree program
• National identity card copy
• Have an average score of 3.0/4.0 in Masters degree
• A medical certificate
• Motivational essay
• Two letters of Recommendations
• Justification for the topic of Dissertation Research

*Documents must be submitted either in Kazakh, Russian, or English Language

Language Proficiency Certificate Requirements

Note: A language certificate is not required by individuals whose country language is official or the language of instruction of previous education.

How to Apply for Kazakhstan International Scholarships 2025?

The application process is online. Interested applicants must submit the required documents by 31st May 2025, through the official Study in Kazakhstan Online Portal.
