Scholarship Duration
- For 60 ECTS Master’s Programme: 1 Year
- For 120 ECTS Master’s Programme: 2 Years
No of Scholarships
The Flemish government offers 30 awards to brilliant students to study for a master’s in Flanders, and KU Leuven University nominates 20 candidates.
Few scholarship seats are reserved for students belonging from specific countries that are:
- Japan – 3
- Mexico – 3
- Palestine – 2
- USA – 5
The above-mentioned countries are the priority countries for the Flemish Government.
Scholarship Coverage
- The scholars will receive a grant of € 10,000 per academic year

Note* Applicants applying for the bridging programs, distance learning programs, and preparatory programs are not eligible for the scholarship.
Eligiblity Criteria:
- All nationals except (Russian Citizens) are eligible to apply
- Must have an excellent academic record and a high GPA
- Enrolled in an eligible degree program
- Have obtained previous degrees outside Flanders
Language Requirement
Applicants whose first language is not English have to demonstrate command of English. The following tests are accepted:
- Online TOEFL: Minimum score of 94
- Cambridge CPE: Minimum score C2
- IELTS: Minimum score of 7
