2025 MCW Young Leaders Fellowship in USA (Fully Funded)

Want to equip yourself with Project Management skills and leadership competencies? Well then wait no more as applications are open for the MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2025. All young leaders aged between 18-26 from all around the world are invited to apply for the 12-month leadership opportunity that will take place virtually and on-site in New York and Burlington from July 15- 24, 2025. The program is designed to address community projects in the areas of economic security, health, and education. A year-long program consists of a one-month virtual program, 10 months of virtual community assessment, and 10 days of in-person vision planning and project development in the USA. It’s a fully funded Young Leaders program that covers International Economy class air tickets, Accommodation, meals, and public transportation. Know more details regarding the program below.

Program Phases

The one year Young Leaders Fellows program consists of 3 main phases that are:

Phase 1: Community Need Assessment

The first phase consists of community needs mapping that prepares young fellows to understand their local communities better once the mapping is completed now they will participate in a one-month virtual program to make positive changes in their communities.

Phase 2: In-Person Training in the USA

All the young leaders will travel to the USA for the fellowship that will be held in New York and Burlington from July 12-24 2025 where they will receive in-person training that includes workshops, training, events etc

Phase 3: Project Implementation

Fellows will spend a further 10 months getting in-person training from the alumni mentor to develop and execute their actionable plans.

Eligiblity Criteria:

  • The young leaders program is open for all nationals
  • Age requirement 18-26 years at the start of the program
  • Have excellent English communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate leadership skills
  • Identify issues in their communities in the areas of health, education, and economic security
  • Committed to attend in-person training at USA
  • Have access to the internet to attend the program virtually

Program Timeline

  • Application Period: 14th October 2024 – 10 November 2024
  • Evaluation Period: December, 2024 – February 2025
  • Community Need Assessment: 1 – 30 June 2025
  • In-Person Training: 15 – 24 July 2025
  • Complete Fellowship Duration: July 2025 – July 2026

Program Coverage:

The program covers:

  • International air flight tickets
  • Domestic air flight tickets for US nationals
  • Accommodation & 3 time meals
  • Round trip travel from Newyork to Burlington, Vermont
  • Local transportation costs
