MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2026 in United States (Fully Funded)

To all young changemakers out there, do you want to have an immersive leadership experience in the United States through a fully funded fellowship program? Well, wait no more, as applications for one of the most anticipated “MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2026” are now open, scheduled to take place in New York, one of the dynamic and vibrant cities of the United States, from July 21-30, 2026.

A prestigious programme hosted by the “MCW”, one of the most reputed international organizations, offers an excellent opportunity to the young leaders aged 18-25 years old from around the world to gain valuable skills and knowledge in the areas of health, education, and economic security. The fellowship is one year long and consists of 10 days of in-person intensive training to drive positive change in your communities. After completing the training, fellows will return to their home communities, where they will spend 10 months developing plans with the support of mentors and alumni.

The objective of the MCW Global fellowship is to equip young leaders with leadership development, self-awareness, vision planning, and global citizenship to bring positive change in their communities. Who can Apply?

Applicants fulfilling the following criteria are invited to apply for the MCW Young Leaders Fellowship:

  • The MCW is open to all nationals
  • Young leaders aged between 18-25 years old are invited to apply
  • Applicants, regardless of their academic backgrounds, can apply
  • Demonstrate interest in driving positive change in the communities
  • Identify issues in their home communities in the areas of health, education, and security.
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Committed to attending a full fellowship program
  • Have access to the internet and email for communication with the MCW global teams
  • Applicants must be eligible for the appropriate visa & travel documentation

Fellowship Coverage

The fellowship offers generous support to the MCW fellows, which includes:

  • Round-trip economy class airtravel costs for international applicants
  • Domestic flight tickets for US nationals
  • Accommodation for the duration of the program in the United States
  • Meals during the in-person program in the USA
  • Round-trip travel from New York to Burlington, Vermont
  • Local transportation costs

The program does not cover:

  • Visa costs
  • Passport costs
  • In-country costs for travelling to the airport, etc

Program Schedule

The MCW Leadership fellowship programme is delivered in three phases that are:

Phase 1: Remote – Community Needs Assessment

Fellows will engage in community mapping and needs assessment. During this phase, fellows will be provided with the tools & knowledge to access their communities and have better insights into community needs

Phase 2: In-Person – Planning & Project Development

This phase consists of 10 days of intensive training in New York, United States, where the paricipants will engage in workshops, seminars, and networking events to gain valuable skills and knowledge to drive positive change in their communities.

Phase 3: Remote Project Implementation & Mentorship

The fellows will work on executing their actionable plans, and each fellow will be assigned an alumni mentor to guide them throughout the program for creating an actionable plan.
