You heard it right, Application call for the National Taiwan Library Fellowship 2025. The fellowship is inviting applications from individuals serving as faculty members in foreign institutes, post-doctoral researchers, Doctoral students/graduates, and Library personnel. The duration of the NTL fellowship is 3-6 months and will be held at the National Taiwan Library. The fellowship offers cutting-edge research experience in the areas of humanities and social sciences under the mentorship of renowned supervisors.

The objective of NTL Fellowship 2025 is to strengthen ties and academic exchange with foreign universities and to support researchers from all around the world to conduct research at the National Taiwan Library. All the visiting scholars who want to gain hands-on research experience in one of the oldest public libraries in Taiwan are invited to apply the last date for the application submission is April 13th, 2025. Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants, must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the NTL fellowship:

  • The fellowship is accepting applications from all foreign nationals
  • Individuals holding a position at foreign universities such as University Professors, Assistant Professors, Senior Lecturer, Lecturers, post-docs & Library Staff
  • Candidates holding a PhD degree or currently pursuing a PhD degree
  • Applicants already pursuing their education, research, or teaching in Taiwan are not eligible to apply
  • The research topics must align with Taiwan Studies or South Asian studies in social sciences and humanities

Coverage

The fellowship offers a comprehensive support that covers:

Economy class Airfare ticket

  • Max: For citizens of Northeast Asia & Southeast Asia: 35000 NTD
  • Max: For citizens belonging from other regions: 60,000 NTD

Monthly Stipend

  • Participants with doctoral degrees will receive a grant of: 60,000 NTD
  • Participants without doctoral degrees will receive a grant of: 40,000 NTD

Applicants need to submit the following documents online:

  • Online application form
  • An updated Resume/Curriculum Vitae (Mention list of Publications)
  • Research Proposal (Not exceeding max 3 pages)
  • A recommendation Letter (PDF Format)
  • Letter of Approval from the highest administrative authority at the home institute

How to Apply for National Taiwan Library Fellowship 2025?

Applicants fulfilling the required criteria need to submit their application online and complete the NTL fellowship Application form along with all the required documents before April 13, 2025.
