NSTC Taiwan Internship Program 2026 (Paid) – 600 Placements

Call for applications for the NSTC Taiwan Internship Program 2026. The National Science and Technology Council, through its official portal, has announced its flagship “International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP)” and is seeking applications from talented and dynamic students from across the world. The NSTC internship is designed for students currently pursuing their bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degree programs in areas that align with Taiwan’s core strategic, key research, and development priorities, including STEM Fields, Humanities, and social sciences from internationally recognized institutes.

The objective of the NSTC IIPP internship is to attract outstanding students and provide exposure to Taiwan’s core strategic and scientific industries. A total of 600 internships will be awarded under this program; the selected interns will carry out an internship in a research and academic institution in Taiwan. The duration of the internship is 30-90 days, which you can take at any time between June 2026 and December 2026. All selected interns will receive a daily subsidy of NT$ 1,000 to cover their living expenses. Applicants interested in the program must submit their applications by July 15th, 2026. Eligibility criteria

Applicants meeting the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Accepting applications from all international students
  • Students enrolled in bachelor’s, masters and phd degree programs at recognized overseas universities
  • Citizens of China, Hong Kong, and Macau are not eligible to apply
  • Exchange students currently in Taiwan who have not returned can also apply
  • Students with a background in STEM, Humanities, and social science fields are encouraged to apply
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Internship Coverage
  • The internship offers a stipend of NT 1,000/Day for the program duration
  • The stipend is used to cover living, food, and accommodation costs
