Eligiblity Criteria
Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology is seeking applications from individuals meeting the following required criteria:
- The research internship is open to all nationals
- Applicants currenlty enrolled in the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program or have recently graduated in STEM fields from a recognized institution in Japan or overseas.
- Bachelor’s students must have completed at least 2 academic years of the degree program
- Enrolled students must get a participation approval from their home institute
- Students or graduates interested in pursuing their Phd from OIST are highly encouraged to apply
Internship Coverage
The research interns are offered the following financial support:
- A competetive allowance of 2,400 JPY per working day
- Transportation support, such as a shuttle bus pass
