About the KEK summer student program in Japan
In this program, selected students will be assigned to one of the research groups at J-PARC or KEK, where they will conduct research and engage in ongoing theoretical, technical, and experimental activities under the guidance of renowned KEK researchers. As per the official source, last year the program awarded a total of 21 awards, and this year they will accept a similar number of participants.

Financial Coverage
The selected participants will recieve following support:
- On-campus accommodation for the duration of the program
- Round-trip airfare costs to/from Japan
- A daily allowance of 1,500 JPY to meet your daily expenses

Eligiblity criteria
- Accepting applications from both Japanese and international students
- Students currently in the undergraduate or graduate degree programs
- Undergraudate students must be in the 3rd or 4th year of the degree program
- Master’s students must be in the early stages of the degree
- Students pursuing their degrees in STEM-related fields are invited
- PhD students are not eligible to apply
- Excellent command of the English or Japanese language
- Highly competetive students must demonstrate excellent academic achievements
