To all the young changemakers, do you want to have an immersive experience this summer at one of the leading Chinese institutes? Well, here is some exciting news: Tsinghua University has announced the call for applications for the 4th edition of its flagship “Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue 2026″ under the theme “Bridging the Divides (破界同行)“. A fully funded international exchange program organized by Tsinghua University aims to invite youngchangemakers from across the world to gather under one platform to connect, learn, and co-create solutions for the pressing global challenges.
It’s a 2-week intensive exchange program that features meaningful dialogues and practical exploration across China’s three dynamic cities, Shanghai, Beijing, and Hangzhou, from June 27 to Jul 10, 2026. The Institute is calling applications from outstanding Youth aged between 18 and 35 years, regardless of academic or professional background. The selected participants will receive generous support from the host organization, which includes accommodation, a stipend, meals, and costs for local transportation. The application process is online; interested individuals must submit their online application by February 27th, 2026. Late applications will not be entertained.

Who can Apply?
Applicants meeting the following criteria are invited to submit their applications:
- The Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue is open to all nationals
- Young leaders aged between 18 and 35 years old are invited to apply
- Demonstrate interest in building real cross-border partnerships
- Leading a practical project that addresses the possible solution for global challenges
- Have a strong interest in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Climate and sustainability, culture & Inclusion, Peace & security, sports, Arts and technology innovation
Programme Structure
The TGYD 2026 will be held in three cities with three different narratives:
Shanghai, China “Open China”
Participants will dive into the Innovation ecosystem, global finance in the world’s leading dynamic cities. You will have an opportunity to engage with the renowned startups and international community hubs
Hangzhou “Smart China”
Here, participants will explore the forefront of the digital economy, smart manufacturing, and AI innovation, followed by visits to leading tech companies
Beijing “Cultural China”
Participants will engage in Civilization dialogue at the host institute and visit the cultural landmarks to experience the rich culture of China
