About UNCTAD TrainForTrade Internship
The internship is part of the TrainFor Trade program within UNCTAD’s division of technology and logistics. The program offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain practical work experience on projects related to trade and development, under the mentorship of UNCTAD professionals. Selected interns will work with the Human Resources Development section.

Who can Apply?
- Be enrolled in a graduate program or
- Be in the final academic year of an undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Recent graduates can also apply
- Field of study must be closely related to the internship position, such as Economics, International Trade, International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, Statistics, Digital Economy / Information Technology Communications, or other fields connected to trade and development
- No prior work experience required
- Have a strong interest in the work of the United Nations.
- Proficiency in the English language
- Knowledge of French and Spanish would be an advantage

The selected interns will support the TrainForTrade team with:
- Researching trade-related topics.
- Researching the digital economy, trade statistics, and port management.
- Taking part in online meetings and webinars.
- Supporting the management of TrainForTrade online courses.
- Helping prepare webinars and other learning activities.
- Preparing short drafts, charts, and graphs.
- Supporting the programme’s social media activities.
- Updating the online calendar of activities.
