To all young leaders, do you want to polish your leadership skills and broaden your expertise through an immersive leadership training program offered by one of the specialized units of the United Nations? UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training & Research) has recently announced the applications for its “UN Young Leaders Training Programme 2026,” designed for talented and motivated young leaders worldwide. It’s an intensive 4-week online training program offered through the UNITAR e-Learning platform.
The course consists of self-paced modules, live webinars, and e-workshops designed to equip the young generation of future leaders with foundational knowledge, tools, and commitment to contribute meaningfully to the Sustainable Development Goals in their communities and beyond. The course is self-paced, and participants are required to dedicate 4-6 hours per week. The objecitve of the Training programme is to empower young leaders and provide exposure to the United Nations and international Geneva work.
The UN training program is accepting applications from all actors with an interest in International Affairs. Whether you are a student, an aspiring young leader, or a professional from the private or public sector, you are welcome to apply. The registration process is on first-come-first-serve basis; a total of 30 slots are available for the training. Once the slots are full, you won’t be able to register. - The UN Online training programme is accepting applications from all nationals, regardless of any academic or professional background
- Students, early career professionals, and youth advocates with an interest in international affairs are invited to apply
- Senior professionals, young at heart, may also apply
- Demonstrate commitment to SDGs
- Applicants aged under 18 are not eligible to apply
- Paricipants must have access to a device with a reliable internet connection
- Must dedicate 4-6 hours per week to the training programme
