UNAIDS (Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS) has announced the application process for the “UNAIDS Internship Program 2026” and invites motivated and dynamic students from around the world to apply. The internship positions are announced in the organization unit AI UNAIDS Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS(AI). The duration of the internship is a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months.
The internship may be held online or in-person, depending on the operational needs of the hiring department. The internship is intended for talented students currently pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degree program, or who have graduated within the past year from a recognized institute. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience while working on the real-world high-impact projects under the supervision of UNAIDS experts. The interns will recieve a competetive stipend for the duration of the program, which will contribute towards the living expenses.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants fulfilling the following criteria may apply for the UN AIDS internship:
- Calling applications from all nationals
- Applicants are currently enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degree programs or have graduated within the past year from a recognized higher education institute.
- Students must have excellent academic standing
- A team player who can work effectively in teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Applicants must be at least 20 years of age at the time of application
- Have an interest in UNAIDS work
- Must commit to full-time participation in the internship
Ineligibility
- Applicants who have previously participated in the internship are not eligible
- Applicants with their immediate family members serving in the UNAIDS Secretariat are not eligible
