The internship lasts 6 months, during which you will work at the Internship level, I-1, in the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, under the supervision of the Associate Programme Officer, assisting with various ongoing tasks. This is a part-time, remote internship; you will work 5 days a week.

Eligiblity Criteria

You must meet the following criteria to apply for the internship:

  • Open for all nationals
  • Students enrolled in the final year of the bachelor’s degree program
  • Students enrolled in the Master’s degree programme
  • Applicants who have graduated from the above degrees in relevant fields such as international relations, urban planning, environmental studies, and public policy.
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • Knowledge of any other official UN language would be an assett
  • No prior work experience is required to apply
  • Knowledge of software applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
