28 UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships 2025 (Fully Funded)

Well, you heard it right! Brace yourself, Applications are open for the UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships 2025.

The Polish National Commission of UNESCO in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair for Science, Technology & Engineering at the AGH University Krakow is offering 28 fully funded fellowships to international students from developing countries. The fellowship objective is to promote Human Resource capacities in the participating developing countries and to foster global understanding among nations and peoples.

UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored fellowship offers cutting-edge research in the areas of science, technology, and engineering. Students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s degree programs in stem-related fields are encouraged to apply. The duration of the UNESCO fellowship is 6 months and will take place at the University of Krakow (Poland) from 1 October 2025 to 31st March 2026. No Application Fee is required to apply for the fellowship – All interested applicants meeting the fellowship criteria must submit their application by May 12th, 2025. Fellowship Coverage

As it’s a UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship program, the support is offered by both UNESCO as well as Polish authorities.

Polish Authorities Covers:

  • Full tuition fees for the six-month fellowship
  • Access to the institute facilities
  • A monthly stipend of:
    • 1800 PLN for bachelors students
    • 2200 PLN for masters students
  • One-time special allowance of:
    • 1800 PLN to BSc students
    • 2200 PLN to MSc students

UNESCO Covers

  • International Travel expenses that include air travel tickets
  • Health insurance for the duration of the fellowship
  • One-time pocket allowance of 120$

Who can Apply?

  • Applicants from the above-mentioned eligible member states can apply
  • Applicants must not exceed 32 years of Age
  • Demonstrate strong academic excellence
  • Must be physically and mentally fit for the program
  • Students enrolled in Undergraduate & Masters degree in stem-related fields

How to Apply for UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships?

Follow the following steps:

  • Step 1: Go through the (Terms & Conditions) & (List of fields of Research/Projects) to check out the requirements.
  • Step 2: Contact the National Commission of UNESCO in your home country for the application process at the national level. Check here for the contact information
  • Step 3: Start preparing your application and include the above-mentioned supporting documents
  • Step 4: Submit your application along with supporting documents to UNESCO of your country
  • Step 5: Once you are informed about the nomination by UNESCO of your home country now you can submit your application via email to agh.poland@unesco.org (with uniune25@agh.edu.pl and Fellowships.Engineering@unesco.pl in copy) and then complete and submit the online information sheet here is the link to the application
