UNESCO APCEIU, through its official portal, has announced a call for applications for the 12th edition of its flagship UNESCO Youth Leadership Workshop 2026 on Glocal Citizenship Education. An intensive workshop organized by UNESCO in partnership with the GCED Youth Network under the theme of “Translating Peace into Action: Leveraging Media and the Arts for Youth Advocacy,” aims to invite young leaders from ODA recipient countries to apply.

The objective of the workshop is to equip young leaders with the skills and tools to drive meaningful change in their communities and to explore how they can advance peace through advocacy and creativity. It’s a 5-day intensive workshop scheduled to take place from 8-12 June 2026 in Seoul, one of South Korea’s most vibrant and dynamic cities. The workshop will bring 40 young leaders from ODA recipient countries. The workshop offers comprehensive support to participants and covers all related costs. Eligibility Criteria

Individuals meeting the following criteria are invited to submit applications:

  • Accepting applications from citizens of ODA recipient countries
  • Age requirement: Born between 1998 and 2007
  • Profiency in the English language (both written and spoken)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in youth activities
